We have been learning about the Ancient Maya within our history lessons. We have learnt how the history of chocolate can be traced to the ancient Maya, who used to drink a very bitter version of hot chocolate.
We decided to try and make it ourselves! We ground cacao nibs and then mixed with hot water, vanilla and honey to create a very rich but bitter drink. As you can see from the pictures, it was not to our liking!
